Ingredients
1 3/4 cups white sugar 1/2 cup light corn syrup 1/2 cup water
Dash of salt 2 to 3 drops food colouring 1 tsp. flavouring of your choice icing sugar for garnish
Preparations
- Butter the baking pan. Combine all ingredients except flavourings in saucepan. Stir until sugar dissolves and place lid on pan. Wash down the sides of the pan frequently with the pastry brush dipped in water to avoid crystallization from occurring.
- Bring contents to a rolling boil and remove the lid and place in thermometer and heat until mixture reaches 250F. Add flavouring and continue to cook for 21/2 to 3 more minutes. Don
